The right way to contour

Hi all,
Today I will be discussing the right way to contour your face. We will discuss how to do this using three different liquid products:
1. Foundation.
 2. Concealer.
 3. Bronzer.
First, let's discuss product. Your foundation should be the color of your skin. It should even skin tone and reduce redness. It should NOT be the product you want to make you look tan.
Next we want to talk concealer. This should be at least 2 shades lighter than your foundation, as well as your skin tone. This is also called highlighter, being that it will bring out the features you like in your face. You don't want this to be too light, as it can cause shine.
Third, you want either a concealer, actual bronzing product, or a foundation that is one to two shades darker than your foundation/skin tone. However, you don't want more than two shades darker, it will make the rest of your face look washed out.

Ok, now let's talk technique. Before you begin, make sure your face is clean and has been moisturized. Now put on your foundation. This creates a base for your contour.

Now, refering to the picture, make your lips puckered and apply the concealer(highlighter) to the light areas as shown. Then use the bronzer(foundation, concealer, etc.) to the areas where your cheeks go in, where the top of your head is, on the sides of your chin, and the indents of your nose.

Now you are ready to blend! Do this with either a cosmetic sponge (these are best) or a wet foundation brush that is clean. Start in the light areas and work out towards the dark bronzer. Never go from the outside in. Always work from the inside out.

When you are finished, it should look natural, while also catching light to give a soft look to your face. Try it out and comment pictures of your efforts! I would love to see them! If any of you have trouble getting the look you want, shoot me a message and we can talk about what you need help with.

That's all for now, see you soon!
